What members say about CPW
A CPW week is the high spot of every year for me, where I become revitalised through its combination of sharing wisdom and experience, living liturgy, and relaxation. I have also made more lasting friends through it than anywhere else….
We arrived apprehensive and tired; we left fulfilled and refreshed….
For me as a priest, one of the most refreshing things about CPW is the way in which it models the laity - quite rightly - playing a full and substantial role in its own development……
The involvement of young people of all ages in CPW is a constant source of delight. The fact that we come to CPW because our teenagers insist that we do,must surely tell you something about how valuable it is to us as a family….
An annual oasis of sanity and fun….
For me as a non-Catholic, CPW has provided an opportunity to find out more about the faith, the history and the refreshing aspirations of what I now know to be members of a liberal, thinking faith community….
CPW has been my University….
It's particularly good that you can express unorthodox ideas and doubts and explore sensitive issues in a non-judgmental environment….
What I have noticed repeatedly is how just seven days can change people, giving them a new lease of energy and hope….
We particularly relish the lovely settings that are chosen, enabling us to combine exploration of unfamiliar countryside with comfortable accommodation, and, particularly, stimulating and friendly conversation….
