Hyning (Winter weekend 2012)

Wake me up! Exploring the spirituality of the enneagram

9-11 March (Fri-Sun)

18+      Fully catered

Enneagram-spirituality is about how personality relates to spirituality. It is a system that groups human behaviour into nine basic types. The word "enneagram" sounds rather new-age, but is really just a Greek word that simply means "nine drawing." Some of the wisdom of this personality typing system is very old, and has been drawn from the Jewish, Christian and Islamic religious traditions.

This ancient wisdom has been combined with modern psychology to form a useful tool. The knowledge gained from studying these nine personality styles is used in spiritual direction and life coaching, through greater understanding of people.

This weekend will be an introduction to the Enneagram, led by Mark Pickin, a Catholic who has much experience leading spiritual retreats in its use.
